Kia ora everyone, my name is Brian and I have been in education since 2001. I am originally from Northern Ireland and my family moved to NZ in 1988. As a family, we settled in South Auckland and I lived there for many years before moving to Pukekohe in 2013. My wife Pippa and I have two daughters Kyla and Ava. In 2014 I was employed as a Deputy Principal at TKP and I became the tumuaki in 2018!
I love working in this community as it is so diverse! Teaching is a fantastic vocation as every child is different and not one day is the same as the next.
I look forward to meeting you and your children!!

Kia Ora
My name is Caron Ace and I am incredibly excited to be starting my role as Deputy Principal and Learning Support Coordinator at Te Kauwhata Primary School. I have been teaching for over 20 years and during that time I’ve been fortunate to work in a variety of roles and teach across all year levels.
My husband Shaun and I have two children, Jayden and Maddie. This year is a big one for our whānau — Jayden is starting his first full-time job, and Maddie is heading into Year 12. We live on a small lifestyle block, which keeps us busy.
Maddie is heavily involved in cheerleading, including coaching, so I spend a lot of time being a taxi driver and a proud ‘cheer mom’. Shaun is car-mad, and we both love spending time driving in our cars together. In my downtime, I enjoy reading and gardening.
I am really looking forward to meeting you all and getting to know the TKP community and school. I’m excited to be part of such a welcoming kura.
