Te Kauwhata is my home town, with my family having lived here since I was only a year old. I loved growing up in this friendly community, spending my own primary school years as a student at TKP, way back in the 80s. In 2013 I moved back home to TK with my husband and our four children, and in 2018 I returned to the kura as a member of staff.
I am honoured to be one of the Learning Assistants here at TKP, supporting our tamariki to reach their individual learning goals. 7 years after starting in this role, I still wake up every morning excited about heading to work and spending my days surrounded by all of the inspirational students who attend our school.

I come from a small piece of paradise on the Eastern Bay Of Plenty called Ōmaiō. State Highway 35! And proud.
I am a mum of 3 charismatic boys. My passion is children. From a young age I always knew my path would lead towards teaching of some kind. I find so much joy in being apart of children finding out who they are. All the bumps, leaps and adventures on the way to discovery. I love it! Our whaanau here at TKP are super supportive. You can feel the aroha all around. Having my youngest son here at TKP is a bonus.
