Te Kauwhata Primary School - We C.A.R.E. ~ Communicate Aspire Respect Engage

Te Kauwhata Primary School is situated in Te Kauwhata village which is approximately 3km from State Highway 1, midway between Hamilton and Auckland and within the Waikato District Council boundaries.

We are a contributing school with the majority of our students leaving after Year 6 to attend Te Kauwhata College, which caters for students from Year 7 through to Year 13. Our two schools enjoy close ties and relations in the interests of our students and the community.

Our school roll is increasing steadily during a significant growth period in Te Kauwhata. At present we have the equivalent of 11 teaching spaces. In our Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 teams students benefit from a collaborative teaching approach. We have one flexible learning space.

We offer small group literacy and numeracy intervention programmes for students who require a 'little extra' to accelerate their learning.

School starts at 8.50am and our day ends at 2.50pm, morning tea is from 10.30am to 11am and lunch is from 1pm to 1.50pm.

Lunches are provided everyday.  We do cater to dietary needs, please let the office now if you require vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten free, dairy free, have an peanut allergy or if you are lactose or gluten intolerant.
